1. Actual Data: Enter the range (block) location of the time series to model. By way of example, if your data range is C4:C58. Simply type the range into the box. Alternatively, click on the red arrow to roll-up the form in order to use the mouse to highlight the desired data range.
2. Table: The range (block) for storage of the forecasting results. The results are presented in a tabular form for ease of comparison and printing. ORS will suggest a starting point for the table. In the example above, the suggested starting location of the table is cell L4. The table requires 18 columns; however, the user is only required to enter a starting point (e.g., L4). NOTE: we recommend that you accept the ORS default entry here.
3. Predicted: Enter the range (block) for storage of the predicted results. NOTE: this is usually a column of data. ORS will automatically calculate the depth if just the starting point is indicated. In our example above, the starting point is automatically calculated AC4. No other entry is required.
4. Residual: Enter the range (block) for storage of the residuals. The residuals represent the difference between the predicted and actual observations over the range of the data as indicated in point 1 above. ORS will automatically calculate the depth if the starting reference cell is entered. In our example above, the starting point is entered as AD4. No other entry is required.
